2-Line Bar for Kite

The Basic control bar from Wolkenstürmer is designed for flying two-line kites. It’s perfect for beginners as it is easy to handle and allows you to fully embrace the pulling forces of the kite in strong winds.
The foam rubber-covered handle feels great in your hands and is compatible with all two-line control systems available on the market.
Unlike control loops, you can easily steer the bar with both hands or just one. With control loops, you move your arms much more in different directions, which tires them out quickly and can lead to exhaustion. This makes piloting more difficult and sudden movements, which are a common issue for beginners, can send your kite crashing to the ground. With the control bar, it's not possible to pull your arms out.
Steering the kite with the control bar is very simple: if you pull the control bar to the left, your kite goes left. If you pull it to the right, it goes right. The additional safety system in the form of a Safety Leash works as follows: with a Velcro closure, the Safety Leash is attached to your wrist. In an emergency, it slowly brings the kite down to the ground and secures it to the pilot’s wrist. The kite can no longer fly away. If you need to quickly detach completely from your kite, just pull the red cord (panic line) and in a flash, the Velcro detaches from your wrist. You are then fully detached from the kite.
The control bar measures 56 cm in length, has a diameter of 3 cm, and features 4 mm thick tulle-like cordlets to attach the flying lines. The flying lines are not included. To attach your two flying lines to the handle, a "berry knot" is placed between your control lines and the ends of the control bar. Always wind your two flying lines up at the same time, crossing and in an eight shape, around the horns of the control bar. This way, you not only keep things tidy but also avoid twists in your kite lines during the next launch.
